Shawn M. Howell, MD, FACC

“I make each patient feel as though he or she is my only patient. I explain my patient’s medical conditions and answer all questions in a way they can understand. Effective communication ensures my patient’s success with their treatment plan.”

When it comes to her patients, Dr. Howell chooses an educational approach. She wants her patients to fully understand their disease before they leave her office. She is active in community outreach programs and educates people about the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Howell has been treating patients in the DC metro area since 2005. Dr. Howell is married. Her husband, Roderick Holloman is an attorney and founder of The Holloman Law Group. Becoming a sommelier is on her "to do" list".
